I always thought I didn’t have enough discipline, or I didn’t want it enough. Turns out it wasn’t me at fault but the stupid bloody diet.
If diets work, we would only need to go on one wouldn’t we and we would lose the weight we wanted to, and it would stay off.

Welcome to part two of our managing postpartum expectations. We are focusing on C-section considerations and what the difference is in the recovery timeline and what we can do to aid our recovery.
There are few things that get my goat as much as the generic 6 weeks post c-section check-in with the Dr and you all of a sudden you have the all clear to get back into doing everything you did before.
Do we send sports people back out to play 6 weeks after ACL surgery with no rehab? No.
Why would a 6 week recovery timeline for major abdominal surgery be viewed as enough time to recover?
Postpartum Expectations
Whether we are already basking in the glow of newborn snuggles (also sleep deprivation to the max) or we are in the start, middle or nearing the end of our pregnancy, understanding where our bodies are at and being aware of the rebuilding timeline is key to our recovery.
Can we really boost our metabolism as we age?
A slowing metabolism is unavoidable as it’s due to age, genetics, gender but it doesn’t mean we can’t do something about it.
